Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Westlake, OH

Account Manager will support assigned Agency business. In this role, you will identify approved markets, solicit and arrange, appropriate insurance coverage for clients. Serve as in intermediary between the retailer and the insurance carrier. Manage new and renewal business to assist Agency in meeting or exceeding production goals. Build strong and positive relationships to ensure growth attainment and increase firm’s reputation.
Report Base: Managing Director
Meet with clients and markets; develop, maintain and cultivate excellent carrier and agent relationships.
Promote new business and/or renewal business to achieve production/market criteria as defined by Agency with little or no supervision.
Evaluate business or individual customer needs, and propose coverage plans that meet their criteria.
Proactively market the Agency’s products and services Negotiate the best terms and coverages available with accessible markets.
Prepare submissions for markets, secure quotes, prepare and follow up on quote letters, process endorsements, cancelations and audits accordingly. ·
Conduct quality control review of policies, endorsements and audits. ·
Verification of licensing and compliance requirements of accounts.
Support, maintain and revise information in Agency’s database and management system efficiently and accurately.
Prepare binders and account invoicing.
Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the Agency’s policies and procedures.
Assist Agency with meeting or exceeding production goals as assigned.
Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry and sales ideas through regular attendance at workshops, seminars, literature reviews and/or formal continuing education.
Complete assignments independently.
Mentor and provide technical skills training to staff and new employees to resolve issues within the team and enhance career development as needed.
0-2 years of experience sales, customer service or in insurance sales
Strong communication, negotiations, and problem-solving skill sets
Solid computer knowledge, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
Solid coverage, terms/ conditions, and pricing knowledge
Current knowledge of markets and industry issues
Maintain necessary licenses to produce business
Strong analytical skill sets and a proficient multi-tasker
Strong personal organization and time management skill sets
