Application Architect

Job Purpose: 
This position is responsible for ensuring alignment of project specific designs with application architecture roadmap; supporting project and/or product teams on functional and technical design activities; defining the interaction between application packages, databases, and middleware systems to optimize product functional coverage; acting as subject matter expert (SME) for products that require integration into the application 
Job Responsibilities: 
Ensure alignment of project specific designs with application architecture roadmap
Support project / product teams on functional & technical design activities
Define the interaction between application packages, databases, and middleware systems to optimize product functional coverage
Act as subject matter expert (SME) for products that require integration into the application
Provide product specific knowledge and expertise to support resolution of AMS related Severity 1 and Severity 2 incidents, as required
 
 Required Job Qualifications: 
Bachelor Degree and 4 years Information Technology experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 6 years Information Technology experience OR 8 years Information Technology experience
Hands on Experience with ESB DataPower solution architecture, design, development, troubleshooting and monitoring.
Message flow architecture, design, development, troubleshooting and monitoring using IBM Message Broker (WMB V8 or higher)
Hands on Experience with API architecture and design using APIGEE
Experience in cloud computing (SaaS / PaaS)
Experience in gateway and integration technologies (file, API, SOAP and RESTFUL Web Services, Web Service Security)
Expertise in XML, XSLT, JSON, XPATH and JAVA/J2EE
Understanding of service oriented architecture (SOA)
Knowledge of basic Database skills for writing SQL scripts
Knowledge of EAI /SOA Design Patterns and Best Practices
Problem solving /analytical thinking
Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers, as applicable
Application domain knowledge
Teamwork and collaboration
 
 Preferred Job Qualifications:
Ability to tie together solutions across systems.
Experience or understanding of Jira, GitHub, Jenkins tools
Experience in Mulesoft.
Experience in using Jmeter, SoapUI testing tools.
Experience of SDLC Methodology (Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development).
