Proactive Systems Engineer
Are you a client-facing technical engineer who loves to work with customers to design and implement complex infrastructure solutions? This topnotch managed service provider is looking for an outgoing IT professional who is passionate about executing network and server projects and mentoring junior team members. Grow your career with this customer-oriented team of high performers by proposing IT solutions designed to minimize future service desk tickets, as well as designing and implementing LAN/WAN, server, cyber security, and cloud service technology to accelerate business productivity. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits located in Frisco, TX.  
 
Primary Requirements
Hands-on experience in a client-facing role such as a Junior Project Engineer or Senior Service Desk Technician with experience communicating complex technical process to end-users
Ability to evaluate automation needs to increase efficiency of service desk by reducing ticket counts and proactively addressing user needs
Experience documenting internal processes and procedures to maintain consistent results and efficiencies, including creation of network diagrams and technical process documentation
Capable of performing a variety of onsite services, including: server/network health, monitor tools/application health, check logs & maintains backups, technical support & user issues, restoration tests, implementation of new technology, and onsite proactive services
Desire to work with security and compliance (i.e. HIPAA, PCI, NIST, ITAR/DFARS, ISO27001 &/or Cyber Security Compliance Assessments); comfortable developing security and incident response policies and procedures for clients
Excellent time management and follow-up skills
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Reliable transportation necessary; local travel with some overnight travel (approximately 10%)
